Interventional Therapy of angiopathy and tumor, as a
vital part of minimally invasive medicine, is a new method
developing fast through several decades. It has many advantages,
such as convenience, safety, effectiveness, minimal invasion, less

Liu Fuquan
Director of the department of Interventional Therapy
(interventional therapy for angiopathy and tumor). Professor,
Medical Master, Master Student Supervisor of Peking University
Health Science Center. He is a famous national expert of
interventional medicine and interventional therapy for
angiopathy and tumor, one of the national specialists who
applied the interventional therapy for angiopathy and tumor
first, and one of the most experienced and comprehensive
experts in application of interventional therapy.
He received one-year advanced study of Interventional Therapy
of Angiopathy and Tumor in Germany in 1998. At present, he is
a member of interventional radiology committee of Cancer
Foundation of China, vice chairman of interventional radiology
committee of Railway Society, a member of radiology committee
of Railway Society, tumor interventional therapy committee of
Chinese Anticancer Association and tumor interventional
therapy committee in Beijing of Chinese Anticancer
Association, the peer review expert of editorial board of
Chinese Journal of Radiology, a executive member of the
editorial board of Chinese Journal of Medicine, a executive
member of the specialist editorial board of Chinese Journal of
Modern Imaging, a member of the editorial boards of Journal of
Chinese Practical Medicine, Chinese Journal of Practice
Medicine and Journal of Chinese Medicine Research.
He was granted the title of excellent youth of the central
government departments, as well as the prize of great
contribution in construction, prominent young talent in
science and technology and excellent academic leader in
ministry of railways. Besides, he achieved one 2nd
Prize and two 3th Prize of provincial scientific
and technological advance reward. 80 academic papers he wrote
have been published. He participates in many scientific
researches, 2 of which sponsored by the scientific research
fund of ministry of railways have been accomplished, 3 of
which will be accomplished. He evolved more than 60 kinds of
new methods of interventional diagnosis and treatment, 2 of
which have obtained national patent. Until now, he has
completed about 18000 interventional operations. He is in a
leading position in interventional technique application in
our country.
Yue Zhendong
Associate Professor of the department of Interventional
Therapy (Interventional Therapy for Angiopathy and Tumor). He
has rich clinical experience in interventional therapy for
angiopathy and tumor. Due to his skillful and overall
interventional technique, he has achieved various provincial
prizes. Until now, he has completed about 10000 interventional
operations and published more than 40 academic papers.
Zhao Hongwei
Medical Master of the department of Interventional Therapy
(Interventional Therapy for Angiopathy and Tumor). He
graduated from China Medical University and learned from
Professor Xu Ke, who is the national famous expert of
interventional therapy. Zhao Hongwei has engaged in clinical
work for many years. Due to his skillful and overall
interventional technique, he has achieved various prizes.
Until now, He has completed more than 1000 interventional
operations. He takes charge of the inpatient wards management.

The interventional therapy in our hospital is
characteristic in lots of disease, such as venous thrombosis,
arteriosclerosis, artery stenosis, hepatic carcinoma, esophageal
carcinoma, pancreatic carcinoma, pulmonary carcinoma, hepatic
cirrhosis, hepatic hemangioma, vertebral pathological changes,
obstructive jaundice, tubal infertility, Budd-Chiari syndrome, and
so on.
Since we established the department of interventional therapy, we
applied interventional technology to treat more than 6800 cases of
liver cancer, 910 cases of pancreatic cancer, 2800 cases of lung
cancer, 1900 cases of radiofrequency ablation for tumors, 500 cases
of liver cirrhosis, 490 cases of hepatic hemangioma, 780 cases of
tubal infertility (pregnancy rate to be 30%～60%), 430 cases of renal
artery stenosis/occlusion, 560 cases of carotid stenosis/occlusion,
420 cases of subclavian artery stenosis/occlusion, 380 cases of
vertebral artery stenosis/occlusion, 390 cases of intracranial
artery stenosis/occlusion, 150 cases of aortic stenosis/occlusion,
570 cases of iliac artery and lower extremity artery stenosis, 550
cases of tracheal and esophageal stenosis, 510 cases of venous
thrombosis and pulmonary infarction, 690 cases of hysteromyoma and
adenomyosis of uterus, 980 cases of obstructive jaundice, 380 cases
of intracranial aneurysm, 300 cases of Budd-Chiari syndrome, 750
cases of vertebral hemangioma and metastasis, osteoporotic vertebral
compression fractures, myeloma, and bone metastases using
percutaneous vertebro plasty.
1. Vascular Diseases (arteriosclerosis, diabetes, arteritis,
arteriovenous thrombosis, angiodysplasia, vascular malformation,
arteriovenous fistula, aneurysm, and so on)

limb cased by iliac and femoral artery stenosis;

by tumors and other reasons;
⊙ Dysphagia and vomit as a result of
stenosis of esophagus, intestine and stomach cased by tumors and

5. Liver Cirrhosis
Gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mass ascites and hypersplenism cased by
liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension.

Hemoptysis, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, epistaxis, pelvic
hemorrhage, and liver/spleen/kidney rupture and hemorrhage cased by
