Beijing Shijitan Hospital has been providing the undergraduate clinical
curriculums for medical school of Peking University since 1997. In 2000, Beijing
Shijitan Hospital officially became the ninth clinical medical college of Peking
University. Now, it mainly provides the clinical curriculums of Preventive
Medicine Specialty and the internship for students of public health institute
PUHSC.
The students would complete clinical curriculums of one year and internship for
18 weeks in the hospital according to the education Program of PUHSC.
The clinical curriculums, 1314 hours total, include clinic theoretical courses (
500 hours ) and clinic practice courses ( 814 hours ).
The clinical curriculums include basic clinic courses, systematic and
specialized courses:
basic clinic course: Physical diagnosis, Laboratory diagnosis, Radiology
/ Imaging diagnosis, Surgery pandect, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ethics.
Systematic courses: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and
Gynecology, Neurology and Psychiatry.
specialized courses: Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Stomatology,
Dermatology, Lemology, Occupational disease.
Internship of 18 weeks:
Internal Medicine (8 weeks): Cardiology, respiratory medicine,
gastroenterology, endocrinology.
Surgery (4 weeks): General surgery, Oncology, Orthopedics.
Obstetrics and Gynecology (4 weeks): Gynecology, Obstetrics.
Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine (2weeks): the period in Emergency
department is for probation.
